Toxics Reduction Act Public Summary Report 2015 Reporting Year Zalev

Zalev Brothers Co., a Division of Ferrous Processing & Trading Co.

A. FACILITY INFORMATION

Zalev Brothers Co. operates as a ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycler. Main facility processes include scrap metal receiving and storage, scrap metal processing (shearing, cutting, briquetting, and baling), and briquette and scrap metal shipping. Substances that require reporting for 2015 include Manganese (and its compounds), PM10 and PM2.5. Manganese is assumed to be a component of the carbon steel (mild) and cast iron scrap that is processed at the site. Particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) is created and released to air from hot briquette plant operations, fuel combustion, torch cutting and material handling activities at the site.
